From a young age Alana has always wanted to be free, colourful, and to surround herself in beautiful art.

Born in Wollongong Australia 1971, Alana spent most of her childhood growing up on the South Coast of N.S.W in Narooma, a beautiful sea side town inspiring her love for art and nature.

 Alana recieved private tution from accomplished artist John Hackwell before attending Canberra`s ANU institute of the arts in 1990, majoring in textiles and design. Alana gained her bachelor of visual arts in 1993.

 The fashion industry drew Alana to sydney, and designing prints for fabrics fuelled her desire to paint, putting all her spare time into group exhibitions. Alana remained in the ragtrade till 1996, then moved to Nelson Bay for a well deserved sea change.

 In this new page of her life she started her own buisness as a fine artist supplying shops, galleries & restaurants in Nelson bay, Cairns , Palm Cove  & Port Douglas.

In 2002 Alana completed her professional makeup course now widening her repertoire as a different type of artist" I paint on canvas every day and now also paint on a 3d canvas; the face, i love it , it is so inspiring i can interact with my art work, ( the person im doing makeup on).

 Opening her own gallery in 2005, Alana`s work has become sought after Australia wide and around the globe. Her works are ever changing and evolving with the trends of the moment and textiles are a prominent feature in her art work .She loves combining colours and textures to create amazing abstracts with prominent asian influences at the moment.
